Universal Beauty
I am going to make my story very short. It was 1980. I was working as agronomist in cotton crops in my native Colombia, South America. As a country side-six-days a week worker, I used no make up, absolutely no protection at all was applied on my semi-dry skin. Despite all the hours I spent under the sunlight every single day, I did not have any kind of spots on my face. But some day, a friend of mine gave me a “very special cream” as a gift, so I could take good care of my skin for all the years to come. Very thankful and excited, I started to use the cream….. However, after three weeks, I noticed dark spots all over my face: forehead, cheeks, nose, upper lip, and chin. Immediately, I stopped using the cream, but it was too late… and right there and then I started my crusade to get rid of those spots. My quest was permanent.
I used whatever was available in the cosmetics and dermatology markets. Treatments from Germany and then exfoliation, glycolic acid and all sorts of other means I tried with no results. At this time, 1994, I was in the United States.
Looking back in my career, I took botanic courses during my bachelor and master degree as well. I went a little deeper in the biochemistry field during my research for my thesis in order to obtain my master degree, and I did not know that, since then, everything was getting tied together, because it was through plants and through elements from Mother Nature, that I was going to find the answer to my quest.
2007 was my year, I completed the whole process. All my products are now registered and licensed… I DID IT!!!! It took me three years to complete my quest. I had to know which particles could help as active ingredients and what kind of plants had them. All those years of dedication were worth it. At the beginning, my husband Pete was a little skeptical, but as soon as he saw the results in my own face, he was absolutely unconditional and 100% supportive. He has been and always will be my dear partner, loyal friend, loved husband and above all, who encourages me to move ahead. In my dear extended Colombian family, I have always had lots of love and support.

Voy a hacer mi historia muy corta. En 1980, trabajaba como
agrónoma en la CostaCaribe de mi nativa Colombia en América del Sur. En aquellos
tiempos mi jomada era de seis días a la semana, no usaba ninguna clase de maquillaje
y absolutamente nada de protección solar en mi piel, la cual ha sido más o menos
semi-seca. A pesar de todas las horas que pasaba, y disfrutaba, bajo el cálido sol del
trópico, no tenía ningún tipo de manchas en mi piel. Un día tuve un «regalo especial»
de una querida amiga, quien con las mejores intenciones, me dio una crema para que protegiera mi piel pues el paso de los anos no me perdonaría su efecto. Muy contenta y agradecida empecé a usar la crema. Sin embargo alrededor de la tercera semana empecé a nota manchas oscuras sobre mis mejillas, la frente, la nariz, el labio superior y el mentón.
Inmediatamente paré el uso de la crema pero fue tarde, ya el daño estaba hecho. Ahí mismo empecé a buscar la forma de quitarme esas manchas, y esa búsqueda se convirtió en un tormento y un reto para mi. Usé todos los productos disponibles en los mercados cosméticos y dermatológicos, pasé por tratamientos alemanes, exfoliación, ácido glicólico, dermoabrasión y no obtuve ningún resultado. Por este tiempo, 1994, estaba en los Estados Unidos. Durante mi carrera y la especialización como master tomé cursos de botánica. Durante la investigación para mi tesis de master profundicé en bioquímica y allí se despertó la inquietud de conocer un poco más a cerca de las plantas y sus componentes, pero no me imaginé que La Madre Naturaleza, me iba a brindar la respuesta absoluta a mi búsqueda.
El año 2007 fue mi año. Después de poner todo junto, complete el proceso de ver como actuaban los ingredientes que había ido seleccionando para lograr mi objetivo…. Y LO LOGRE!. Me tomo más o menos 3 años para el logro. Se determino cuales plantas y sus partículas eran las que ofrecían la respuesta. Los años de dedicación valieron la pena. Pete, mi esposo, al principio se mostró un poco escéptico, pero finalmente, al ver los resultados en mi cara, me apoyó incondicionalmente. Él ha sido y será siempre mi amado esposo, compañero del alma, amigo sincero, y sobre todo quien no me ha puesto barreras en el logro de mis objetivos. En toda mi querida familia Colombiana también he tenido cariño, amor y apoyo.
